Cool guitar images are dotted around the internet. Musicians are constantly uploading photographs of their electric, acoustic and bass guitars for other forum members, blog post readers and social media users to enjoy. I'm sure that few would argue with me if I was to proclaim that there are few musical instruments that are more cool than a guitar.
So why is the guitar so cool and, more to the point, why is the guitarist so cool. Would the guitar player be cool or even recognisable if he or she didn't have a guitar strapped over his or her shoulder? Well, is answer to this is probably not quite as suave. But the guitar player without the guitar at a particular moment in time is still a guitarist even when he or she isn't wearing the musical instrument. They will, therefore, still give off that confidence that comes with being a musician even when they are not playing. Plus you may be able to still tell a guitarist from the rock t-shirt that they might be wearing and the ripped, tight denim jeans. Of course, these are all stereotypes and not all guitar players will dress in this manner!
So if you have any good pictures of your electric, acoustic or bass guitar then why not post them online and see what members of popular guitar or musician forums think of your beautiful instrument. We must realise, of course, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and some people might not necessarily think that your musical instrument is as beautiful as you perceive it to be. I myself, for example, love Fender Stratocasters. They may be a very common instrument and I've used and owned many other guitars that many would argue are more beautiful than the humble old Strat but, to me, it's the most gorgeous instrument to me. This is not just because of how the instrument looks but also because of it's sound, how it feels in my hands and how it makes me feel when I play it. Therefore, beauty is not just about looks, especially when it comes to musical instrument.
With this in mind, when a guitarist looks at cool guitar images, he or she must begin to imagine how the instrument must feel in the player's hands, to the musician's ears, how it touches them in a way that no other instrument can touch a guitarist. Therefore, a successful cool guitar image must not only be well shot but it must also capture the essence of the instrument and it inspire the player to not only look at the image with their eyes but also imagine what it would be like to play the instrument.
