When you're shopping for cheap acoustic guitar packages, you'll want to go about it just as you would if you were picking a cheap acoustic guitar. Most of the same criteria will apply. You'll have to decide what brand, style, finish, size and price range you can live with. If you're shopping for a package with a kids acoustic guitar in it, you should probably consider a starter guitar package containing a smaller instrument and, and whether it will have steel strings or nylon strings. You may even be looking for a package that contains a guitar designed specifically for a young girl. Will you be looking for a pure acoustic, or an electric acoustic?

How much money are you willing to spend? All these things will need to be considered before you even begin shopping. luckily for you, there are a great number of acoustic guitar packages to choose from these days. Most of the top names in the industry offer starter packs, and one for almost any budget can be found. Most of these packages will include everything anyone would need to begin their acoustic guitar to experience. Of course you will need to do a little research on the guitar that is included in the package, as some of the packages at the lower end of the price ranges may include really, really cheap guitars that can only be considered a toy. These poorly made instruments sound awful and most are very hard to play. The combination of those two things is the quickest way to ensure that someone will just give up trying to learn to play.

Many however, we'll be a good value for the money invested, and depending upon the package, will include an electronic or digital tuner, strings, picks, a strap and a gig bag or a hard case. Some may even include learning tools such as books or CD's. Some of the name brand, higher priced packages may even have solid top guitars, although many will not. As I said, just do some research before making that final decision. 

Right off the bat, you're going to notice that there is a really big selection to choose from. You'll see that prices began at next to nothing and will range into the several hundred dollar category. At the lower end of the price scale, some of the packages will have guitars that use nylon strings, and some will have nylon and steel strings. You'll also notice that the acoustic accessories included will vary from package to package. Using your budget and the style and quality of the acoustic you are looking for, you should be able to find something that will suit just about anyone. Many, if not most of the top names will have packages to choose from in different price ranges. At about $200 Fender offers the FA-125 Acoustic pack.

This is a very highly rated package which comes with the FA - 125S acoustic, which has a smaller body, an electronic tuner, gig bag, picks, string winder and an instructional booklet. This combo has the highly desirable solid top guitar, which makes this package a very good value. Another popular package in the $100 - $200 range is the Yamaha Gigmaker Standard Acoustic package. Yamaha is another brand known for the quality of their cheap acoustic guitars and the great sound these acoustics produce. Beginner guitar packages with quality construction, and great sounding instruments in the $150- $300 range are also available from Takamine, Dean, Epiphone, Silvertone and others.

At the lower end of the price spectrum you will find just as many, or probably more, acoustic guitar packages to choose from. A package with guitar, bag or case and some accessories can be found for as little as $20 or so. Just be aware that when you drop below the $200 - $150 price range you should research descriptions, construction, etc, of the instrument that comes in that particular package. It will really be to your benefit, when choosing a package for a child, to determine if that child just wants a toy to make noise with or is seriously interested in learning to play guitar. That can be a huge factor when deciding which package to select, as well as the size of the instrument included. As in the more expensive acoustic packages, in this price range you will be able to find packs with left hand acoustic guitars in some, and several that are designed specifically for young girls. Bottom line. Common sense dictates that a $20 package will not have the same quality guitar as will be in the package you pay $300 for. Again, just do a little research before hand, so that you will have a good idea as to what to look for when you are buying cheap acoustic guitar packages

Start DJing - How To Get DJ Gigs You Want In Clubs

To get you on the right road to start DJing, read the following steps which will definitely help you on your way to becoming a club DJ, if that's what you want.

And even if you're happy to play in parties and bars without hitting the clubs, I'd advise reading it too.

1. Choose DJ equipment

If you're sure that you want to DJ, you'll be ready to splash a few hundred dollars, pounds or Euros on your gear.

You did know that right?

Now, what gear do you get? You've heard about CD decks, vinyl turntables and digital gear.

The choice is an easy one to make once you answer this question: what format is your music in?

If it's in vinyl then you'll need DJ turntables. If it's on CDs, then have a look at some DJ CD decks.

But I'm guessing here that you want to start DJing because you already have a large collection.

And in most cases, your collection is likely to be in digital format (MP3,.wav,.flac).

2. Learning to mix

You can also take DJ lessons (expensive) or look into courses which help you learn with video assistance.

3. Promoting yourself

Like it or not, DJ promotion is an essential part of becoming a DJ.

A Facebook page is just not enough on its own. DJs who think they can get by with just a Facebook page and adding friends don't get anywhere.

You'll need to create a cool DJ website, build contacts and make a banging promo CD.

4. Create your image and unique style

Instead of being just like all the other DJs and copying the same tunes and style as your hero, how about being original?

Original DJs get noticed and if you have a style and image that people identify with, if you stand out amongst other DJs with a cool music selection and look, you'll get more gigs.

Believe me, this really works and you need to have it in mind when you start DJing.

It's frustrating when someone gets a gig because they're a friend of someone else. In fact, it's really annoying! Because you know that you're better than that other guy but HE's the one on the decks.

There are some great techniques which help you to get to network, make friends and get into the doors of clubs a lot easier. Once you manage that, only one thing can happen: you WILL get DJ gigs.

Use Beat Maker Software and Start Making Your Own Beats

For as long as I can remember, I've had a strong passion for music. Maybe you share that passion and that's how you ended up here today. Have you ever gotten chills from listening to your favorite song? Do you write your own lyrics, and need some production to back you up? Maybe you just want to feel what it's like to create a masterpiece. Whatever the case, you're at least a little curious about beat maker software and making your own beats. Whether its musical talent you lack or funds, these main hurdles can intimidate any aspiring beat maker. I've met more than a few musically talented people in my life that just can't afford all the expensive equipment that's needed for creating music. With all the overnight advancements in technology and growing number of software options, the stepping stone to music production just got a whole lot cheaper.

Right now you may be starting to wonder where you can pick your own beat maker software but not have to pay thousands for it. It's not the amount of choices for programs that make me laugh, but how many of them are beyond affordable. That will come with time. You have to play with all the sounds and get to know the software. You think a chef knows how a dish is going to turn out before tasting his ingredients? You Think You're Too Old to Start Guitar Lessons? Think Again!

No one is too old to start his or her guitar lessons. Music is for all ages, if you want to learn the instrument, nothing is impossible. Everyone has musical talent. Some are just more talented than the rest. Never let anyone tell you that you cannot do it because of the old adage "You cannot teach old dogs new tricks." If you have determination and perseverance, you can play the guitar whatever your age is.

Studies have proved that age is not considered as obstacle for adults to learn guitar, instead poor attitude, self-consciousness and impatience are. Older people may also find it hard to learn a new skill, especially when it is an instrument but when you are willing to put your time and effort, you'll be playing like a pro in no time.

A traditional way of learning is by having a music teacher. It is more advantageous for you to take an instructor and have private lessons. This is helpful for adults who are shy and doesn't want to sit beside a child during a group class. You can take a lesson in a music studio or in your home, whichever you prefer. This type of learning provides you with a rigid course schedule. This may include an hour of instruction for specific days in a week, of course, you need to do your share and practice in between classes as well. If you are with a group, the instructor will be facilitating activities that correspond to the learning phases of the guitar lesson. By the end of the course, the whole class will be doing a musical recital to showcase their newly acquired skills. Another choice is to have the instructor come to your house for a home lesson. This will save you gas and you get to be in a comfortable place to learn.

If you don't have time for the first type of guitar lesson because of work or personal obligations, another option is taking guitar lessons through DVDs. This will allow you to take your time and progress at your own phase. You follow your own schedule - you can choose when the best time to practice is. Some DVDs may include playing tips from famous guitarists. What is great about DVD lessons is that it costs less than a private instructor. When you are with a tight budget or you just don't want to spend a lot of money for a guitar lesson, this will do. Find an instructor whose style suits you and who you enjoy listening or watching for a long time.

The important things are the reasons why you wanted to learn guitar lesson. Do you want to learn to challenge yourself? Do you want music to be a creative outlet? Or maybe you want to learn to impress your friends and family, providing entertainment during gatherings? Or probably you wanted to become a rock star? Whatever your reason is, the important thing is that there will be no regrets at the end of the line, because you have at least learned something that you wanted to do rather than not even trying.
